“You can set boundaries for your health and wellbeing as a creative business owner” pretty much sounds like a lie when you’re in the thick of it, doesn’t it? Your business is your baby! You built this thing from the ground up, and poured yourself into it. It’s probably hard to tell where your business stops and you begin sometimes. Maybe you know you need to start putting boundaries in place, but you feel guilty about laying down the law. Maybe you just want to have the freedom to be a total night owl and talk to your clients whenever! I feel you, big time.
Not only that, we have alllll of the other CEO responsibilities that come along with running a creative business, we scroll through our social media to see our fellow creative business owners seemingly living the DREAM while our to-do lists are piling up…I mean, your head and heart can be literally dead by Tuesday. Easily. The bottom line is that you should be taking care of your mental health before you are taking care of your business.
